Fun Friday on the Beach. I had the pleasure of fishing with the Renshaw Group of Brian, Terry, Chris, Kenny, and Stan. As we left the dock things looked calm, but the buoys said it was blowing outside. We made our way on out to Eloi and got on the leeside of an island. It did not take long at all for the first cork to go down. From then on it was one or two or three after the other, and they were very nice sized Trout. We had a small shower come up on us and we stayed put to ride it and stay on these pretty Trout. As soon as the rain started the bite stopped and when the rain stopped the Trout went nuts again. When the next patch of rain past, same thing. By 10:30 I was taking beer out of the drink box to make room for the last 30 or so Trout that would not fit in the 150 quart. It was a fast bite that was interrupted several times by big Reds that would try to eat our Trout. You could not ask for a better day on the water with a fun group of guys. Total for the day was 150 Trout and 7 Heads.
The fishing in Shell Beach is outstanding and the Trout bite is on big time. There are still some open dates so book yours soon. Campo's is open with fuel, live bait, ice, and two back down ramps.
