Tuesday was nice day to hit the Sound. Mike Baily, Derek Anderson, Josh McAninch, and Aaron Chisenhall were on board. There was a little wind out of the SE as we headed down the MRGO, but not bad. We made our first stop at a reef in the Sound and found a decent trout bite on plastics under a cork. These were very nice trout from 1-3 pounds, but the bite was short lived. We made a move to find some reds since the guys said they had enough trout and wanted to catch some monsters. Fishing with dead shrimp on the bottom the beasts put the Okuma rods and reels to the test. We limited out on big reds with a few slot reds to go along with some Drum and other Bulls that were released. My crew had a great time and can't wait till the next trip. Our total take home for the day was 30 Trout, 8 Reds, 5 Drum, 1 Sheepshead, 1 Flounder, and several Channel Mullets.
