Fun Wednesday on the Beach. I picked up Jim Walther and his guests Gary and Kelly at Jim's camp. We headed over behind Hopedale in Lake Robin. We did not find any Trout, but did find some nice Puppy Drum. We then moved on and hit several spots with little to show for. We fished a lagoon off the Twin Pipeline and got on a good bite with Campo's live shrimp under a cork. Somewhere along the line we must have run into some bad water that killed most our shrimp. Good thing the Trout did not notice. The guys had a great time and put together a nice box of fish, 75 Trout, 6 Drum, 2 Reds, and 1 Head.
The fishing in Shell Beach is outstanding and the fall fishing is on fire. The next three months will be some of the best fishing of the year. There are still some open dates so book yours soon. Campo's is open with fuel, live bait, ice, and two back down ramps. Nice and easy launching with helpful advice from the Campo's is waiting for you. For your next fishing adventure call United Charters. Very nice over night accommodations are available. 504-439-1680.
