Good day in the sound today. Onboard were Jerry Wolf and Benita. After a stop by Campo's for bait we hit the MRGO. The wind was blowing pretty good out the north so I headed over to the Machias area where we could stay out of the wind and be close to the outside if the wind dropped. We picked away at the Trout. They were nice, but mixed with throw backs. Looking for more action and better size off into the Sound we went. The chop was not that bad and the ride was well worth it. Made a couple of stops that produced a few fish each, but the third one was all it took. Capt. Frank was just finishing up as we got there and the Trout were eating up under a cork. In no time the box was filed with limits of nice Trout. Total catch for the day was 75 Trout, 1 Sheepshead, and 1 Red (released). Good day on the water with a couple of great people.
The fishing remains as good as it gets on the Beach. Check out the photos of the fish our guests have been catching. For charter info call (504)-881-9966 or (504)-887-4960.
