4/4
Today I had the pleasure of fishing with a group of great guys Trip and Jeremy and their sons from Alabama and Arkansas. With the strong east winds and the treat of rain we got an early start and headed to the outer edges of the bay. Along the way made a stop and boated 2 drum and 1 Bull Red. After a short run we made a stop at one of the Honey Holes and within the first minute and BAM!!! All 4 fishermen were hooked up. Within the next 45 minutes they managed to put 6 drum and 2 more Bull Red's in the box. The bite stopped and we made a move to the outer Bay and fished a spot that has be producing really nice fish. Within the next hour my crew managed to boat the a few more Reds and Drums. Suddenly the wind and a rain storm popped up and we decided to call it a day and run from the approaching storms. My crew called it a day with a total of 5 Bull Reds, 12 slot Reds and 17 drum. The action in Hopedale, Delacroix and Black bay is heating up fast. I have a couple weekends and weekday dates available in April and May so give Capt. Sal a call today at 504-812-7773 to get in on the bite or look us up for more info at www.gotchahooked.com.
