The past week has been some great fishing light winds not much tide but the trout bite at the rigs and islands on the outside has been on big time with limits or near limits each day. One day it is all croaker on the bottom then the next shrimp under corks you have to keep changing up to find the pattern. Then everything went out the window we were all surprised by the strong 15-25 mph West wind Saturday morning. Too rough outside so I stayed on the edges and made the day. Water was dirty but clean pockets could be found in the coves protected from the wind. That is where we found the trout fishing shrimp under corks. Finished up on the reds in the interior marsh with the shrimp under corks. The winds should come back down and the tides will be better this week so things should pick right back up.
