The fishing has been solid for the month of July. The SLOBBERKNOCKER redfish are very abundant. Schools of 200 plus fish are very common. Most of the fish are eating live or cut bait. We are catching some on artificials such as the MirrOLure 17 MR MirroDine plug. It is a suspending twitch bait and the reds and trout kill it. It has actually caught ladyfish, catfish, blowfish, bluefish, small tarpon, pinfish and even a croaker. It seems to catch whatever swims. Rip Tide Flats Chubs are also good rigged on a Daiichi Butt Dragger hook.

Top water plugs are working well also. The MirrOLure Top Dop and Top Dog Jr. are excellent baits. The She Dog and Poppa Dog are also great for catching big trout. The opportunity to catch trophy redfish will be excellent through October. Come to Florida and fish the Mosquito Lagoon and Indian River Lagoon. Book now for July, August and September. I have some great photos on my website!
