Done, finished, no more. say goodbye to the 2008 lake season, I am done. All I can say is Thank God. Wind, waves, currents, lack of fish, on and on and on. It was not a good lake season.
Yes, I had some spectacular days, and I haven't had a chance to tally up the numbers, but I know it is down form years pat. We have been spoiled, plain and simple. This year was a wake up call for sure. Better days ahead. The boat was remarkable, clients were cool and we made the best of it.
So now I am on he river bashing rocks and catching fish. We had a good early push and the bite has been on. Things are slowing daily and we will need a few more god pushes of fish to keep things busy. The fish are evenly distributed in all of the big pools, just waiting for the urge to spawn.
Looks like we are falling into the normal warm dry weather pattern for the fall. Rain is always a welcome site this time of year, but there is none in site.
Busy weekend is upon us so stay tuned for more.
I am booked solid until late November, but know a few guides with open dates. Give Shelley a call if you are interested.
Stay safe, be respectful of others and put a few back for another day. See you out there, Troy
