Late report for Monday on the Beach. Had some computer problems so time to catch up a little. Phil and his son Alex had fished with Capt. Frank the day before and they had a great day limiting out on Trout in the Biloxi Marsh. I took them in the other direction and with Campo's live shrimp on a Carolina rig and under a cork the guys put some nice Trout in the boat. After putting 40 Trout on ice Phil asked if there were any Reds in the area. Made a short move to the shore of a lagoon and it took no time for the corks to disappear and the Okuma reels to scream. In no time we had our limits of pretty Reds. Phil and Alex asked if I minded if we stayed there to play with the Reds and forget about the Trout. I told him what makes them happy makes me very happy. They sat there and caught and released Reds till they could take no more. Total catch for the day was 40 Trout, 15 Reds, 6 Drum, and 8 Sheepshead. They had a blast and you should have seen the cooler full of fillets they took back to Atlanta.
The Trout have moved inside and are eating up. Come on down and see what a great fishery we have in the Shell Beach area. Be sure stop by Campo's for their friendly service, world famous live shrimp, ice, fuel, and launch. If you want to get in on some of the best fishing to be found give us a call. Check out the photos of the fish our guests have been catching. For charter info call (504)-881-9966 or (504)-887-4960.
