Late report for this past Friday and Saturday from the Beach. Both days I had the pleasure of fishing with two different father and son teams. The conditions for both days were very windy. Friday we started out fishing the lee shore of Lake Bornge with plastics under a cork. The bite was slow, but the Trout were nice sized. The wind started shifting and picking up so we moved over to the Hopedale side of the MRGO drifting lagoons picking away at the rout. We ended up with 36 Trout and 4 Reds.
Saturday we started out looking for some Trout drifting lagoons and broken marsh fishing with Bayou Chubs under a cork. We got on a few Trout early, but the action would stop as soon as it would start. We would move to another area, make a drift and catch a few more. Each time we tried a second drift through an area the bites were few. We made switch to Reds and fished a few points with dead shrimp under a cork. They had a blast and put some nice Reds in the box. Total for the day was 29 Trout, 13 Reds, 1 Drum and 1 Flounder.
