Late report for Tuesday and Wednesday from the Beach. Tuesday Stan, AG, and Stan were onboard. The weather conditions were poor, with 20+ mph East winds there was no way to get outside to the fish so we headed over to the Black Bay side where we could find some shelter on the edge. The water did not look bad and birds were working all over the place. Lots of little Trout and big Gaftops, you would catch 20 to keep one. We picked away at them for a while boxing 30 Trout and 1 big Red before calling it a day early.
On Wednesday it was just Stan and AG and the weather was great. There was a light chop on the way out and it laid down as the day went on. We hit a few spots deep in the Sound finding slow action so we moved to some well heads closer in and it was on. With Bayou Chubs under a cork the action was fast and the Trout very nice. This bite stopped with a few fish under our limits. Made one more move and finished up right away. The guys had a great time and went back to Houston loaded down with fillets.
The fishing in the Shell Beach area is great and when the weather has been good it has been incredible. Call United Charters now to book your next fishing adventure 504-439-1680.
