Late report from Friday. Brian Horn brought along Mike, Vaughn, and Gary. We were greeted by a stiff north wind, overcast sky, and cool temps. There was no doubt that the cool front made it trough the night before. A quick stop by Campo's for some live shrimp and off to Lake Coquille we went. It took a little while for the Trout to wake up, but once the sun came up the fish woke up and were hungry. Live shrimp on a light Carolina rig was just what they wanted for breakfast and we kept serving them up for them till we stopped with 117 Trout, 3 Reds, 4 Drum, and 1 Sheepshead on ice. The Trout ranged from 12-20 inches and there were several throwbacks. We also had a few big Reds that broke off before getting to the net. The guys had a great time and can't wait till their next trip.
The fall season is in full swing and the fishing is outstanding. I have openings this Wednsday, Friday and Saturday, along with plenty of open days in November. Come on down to Shell Beach and let me show you what you have been missing. For you next fishing adventure call United Charters 504-439-1680.
