Late Weekend report from Hopedale. Today I had the pleasure of fishing with a group of great guys from Alabama. With the very low water and wind we took to plan B and headed to deeper water. Along the way made a stop and low water and only 1 drum. We then continued to our planned spot and within the first minute and BAM!!! All 5 fishermen were hooked up. Within the next 20 minutes and 25 drum and 1 Bull Red were in the box. 2nd stop produced 3 more Reds and 1 sheephead. 3rd stop produced 2 more sheepheads and 1 Flounder. Made 1 more stop for trout but with the wind picking up all decided to head to the dock early with 4 Bull Reds, 3 sheephead, 25 drum, 4 Trout and 1 Flounder. The action in Hopedale, Delacroix and Black bay are heating up fast. I have a couple weekends and weekday dates available in March and April so give Capt. Today we again had our same group from Alabama for round 2. Again we headed strait for deeper water and it proved to be the right choice. First stop and 30 minutes later and 25 Drum were in the box. Made a short run to look for some small Reds and BAM!!!!! First 3 cast produced 3 Bull Reds. Made another short run and within minutes all were hooked up with Drum and Reds. After putting 10 Reds in the box all decided to head to our 4th spot for a few Trout. Within the next hour the guys boxed another 40 trout and decided to call it quits for the day. After a short break for some refreshments we headed to the dock with a total of 25 Drum, 10 Reds, and 40 Trout. The action in Hopedale, Delacroix and Black bay are heating up fast.
