Had the the crew from the Laticrete Company in Hopedale again for a 2 day 2 boat Trout and Redfish Slam-a-rama. These guys are regulars a couple times a year and always bring a few new faces too and always a good time and catch a lot of fish too. This trip was no different Lots of laughs and lots of fish hitting the ice chest.
Day One started little slow but we got on some LOG SIZED trout and put whipping on them before heading in the marsh for some RED action. First stop the drags were screaming big reds double and triple hookups. We kept some for lunch and released a bunch too.
Day Two left early and headed for the LOG HOLE. Bite was slow and lots of boats moving around kept things from developing. Blasted off and headed way out to escape the crowd and found the trout eating up LOGS again flying in the boat, they sounded like bricks hitting the deck. After filling the limit we decided to make a run in and pick up some lunch MARSH REDS and Puppy Drum. Two stops and we had what we needed. Larry Romero cooked up the fillets on the grill while we cleaned fish. Fresh Caught and grilled reds on the dock AWESOME! All fish caught on live croaker and shrimp.
