Lots of fun and lots of fish this weekend on the Beach. I had the pleasure of fish with Pat Driver, Cecil Bolton, and Bill Klutz both Saturday and Today. They were part of a large group that spent the weekend at the lodge. Saturday things started off kind of slow. We made a bunch of moves picking up a few fish at each. We then jumped on into the Biloxi Marsh, made one stop and done. The Trout were aggressive and nailing the Campo's live shrimp under a cork along with Bayou Chubs and DOA shrimp. Total for day one was 100 Trout, 2 Reds, 1 Drum, 1 Flounder, and 25 Sheepshead.
Today we headed right to where we got on them the day before. The tide was hardly moving and the Trout less aggressive with lots of throw backs. After putting almost 40 Trout and bunch of Heads on ice we made a move. Here we got on a good bite and the Trout nice. The Trout were biting under a cork and on the bottom, it did not matter. Just like the day before the Sheepshead were thick. The fish box was stuffed and the guys had a great time. Total for day 2 was 100 Trout, 1 Red, and 42 Sheepshead. What a fun fishy weekend.
