The wind has been switching directions and the currents have been strong on some days. This has been the challenge to finding fish. You must know the temperature and speed at your lure to find consistent action.

East Wind and Rain! by
Jim Hirt
(8/21/2007)
East wind and rain has made for tough sledding on our charters the last three days. However, we have found steady action with good catches on all species. Warm water has moved in and the most consistent action is out over 125 feet of water fishing down 50 to 80 feet. Big four-year-old Chinooks, lots of two and three year olds are making up the catch. All species are active in all sizes.

April fishing is very good. Most of our charter trips are catching limits on Browns and Chinooks. Clear skies with the wind out of the northeast at 5-10 mph have been the norm.
