Monday report from the Beach. I had the pleasure of fishing with Omar once again. He is from San Diego and has fished with me several times before. Gary also was onboard with us. The wind was blowing out the NE when we pulled out so we hit the marsh looking for some Reds. At our first stop the guys put 6 nice Reds in the boat fishing with Campo's live minnows under a cork. About 8:30 the wind died out and the gnats went crazy. We high tailed it out of there and headed for the Sound. We made a couple of stops and filled the box to the top with Reds and Heads, releasing a bunch more. It was a great day filled with big fish and fun. Total for the day was 7 Reds, 30 Sheepshead, 1 Drum, 1 Trout, and 1 Flounder.
Spring is here and the action is great. The Trout are gearing up and the Sound is loaded with big fish when conditions permit. Campo's is open with fuel, live bait, ice, and the newly improved back down ramps are open. Nice and easy launching with helpful advice from the Campo's is waiting for you. For your next fishing adventure call United Charters, dates are filling fast. Very nice over night accommodations are available. 504-439-1680.
