Pretty day and pretty fish on the Beach today. Today Steve and his buddy came down for some of the fantastic fishing we have been enjoying. The morning was cold, but clear and not much wind. We headed into the marsh behind Hopedale and made a stop in a Canal with about 10' of water. Fishing on the bottom with live shrimp and Gulp shrimp we put some really nice Trout in the boat. Once we caught a little over 40 the bite stopped. We made one move to a shallow lagoon. It started off slow on our first drift, but by the time we started the second drift the water warmed up about 4 degrees and the Trout started eating up our shrimp and plastics under a cork. With our limits of Trout on ice we worked a shoreline for some Reds picking up 2 keepers. It was a great day on the water with great guys. Total in the box was 75 Trout, 2 Reds, and 6 Heads.
The temperature may be cold, but he fishing in Shell Beach is hot. Come on down to Shell Beach and let me show you what you have been missing. For you next fishing adventure call United Charters 504-439-1680.
