Once again the waters around Prince Rupert produced some great bottom fish. Halibut are the prime target for the early season 420 crew. The group was lucky again this year bringing some great ones to the boat. Kerry of course always brings the biggest in and this year was no exception.

The last day was quite rough and the crew had their rain gear fastened tightly for some exciting jigging action. A few passes over a certain rock produced 12 Ling Cod between 15 and 25 pounds. We also hooked into 12 nice Red Snapper the largest being 20 lbs.

The crew went home with their limit in Dungeness Crabs also. At this time of year every trap was jagged to the top with giant Dungies.

Bio: Prince Rupert fishing charters guide for 25 years. We specialize in catching large and aggressive Salmon and Halibut. Welcome to the Deep Spring Charters home page. My company specializes in catching large and aggressive Salmon and Halibut. These are not our only targets though. I love seeking out Ling cod, Snapper and Rock fish where they live. These fish are not safe when I am on the water. It is not uncommon to have all my fish coolers filled to the top by the end of the day. I call this food gathering.
