The water level on the Oswego river is about perfect 9,800 cfs, but ice and slush are still a problem on the colder days. Steelhead and brown trout are taking worms, minnows, egg sacs and white bucktail jigs.

On the salmon river the flow tonight is going to a fantastic 750 cfs Flows are being increased in order to lower the reservoir in preparation for spring runoff conditions. They say this is normal procedure for this time of year.

Fish egg sacs, troutbeads and small flies in blue and white. Look for the fish to be moving up into the head of the pools with this higher flow.
