Yesterday Jim, Chuck and Kyle we down in Hopedale again and looking for a fix for their fishing addiction and I had just the medicine for their itch SPECKLED TROUT. The weather was perfect warm and sunshine light wind. I headed to my hot spot to find the tide slowly coming in not falling like the last few days but the trout were there just biting slow. The guy's got the hang of the bottom bump and things were picking up then the tide just stopped dead and the bite too. I had to work the area on the troll motor to stay on the fish keep moving was the pattern. Did a little running around catching trout at several spots but nothing fast just slow and steady but that adds up when you keep at it. The only trouble was we were fishing jigs without corks and Chuck and Jim did not know were to cast because they usually like to fish in the same spot no more than 2 ft apart but the made the adjustment and just cast at each others splash instead. We had a great time and the guys got their limit of trout too. Hooked2 nice reds on the spoons on the way in but had premature release on both. The trout are still on the bottom, Old Bayside Shadlyn's and Minnows in Chartreuse and root beer did the best.
