I know it's been awhile since I posted a report but with over 100 inches of snow on the ground there isn't a lot to talk about. I spend about all my time shoveling and snow blowing just waiting for the front end loader to show up and push it all back. Here is what our yard looks like.
This drifted in behind our deck. Way over shelley's head!
The good news is we missed some of the actual event as we finally managed a vacation after three years without one. We played tourist in Key West, took in the culture, spent some time with friends in Big Pine, Marathon and Islamarada and we did actually fish one day. We took a boat way down off the Marquesus Keys, what a beautiful spot. We wanted to fish more, but a cold front (70 degrees) and a strong NE wind kept us at the pool and in the bars. Here are a few fish Shelley caught. The blue water was slow but fishing the wrecks was on fire. we took 12 different kinds of fish and lot's of them.
We ate these guys all week.
Here is shelley reefing on a giant Grouper. It finally broke us off.
One thing I noticed is the simplicity of this fishing. No high tech electronics, temperature, trollng speed, surface speed, tuning spoons, dodgers, flashers, flies, meat....Just drop in a jig toss some chum and you are doing battle!!
OK more snow to shovel. Troy out!
