On Fri. the 24th we had the Lembo party on board. We started the day off Sandy Hook and the first fish to come aboard was a small keeper bass, then things slowed up as we were on the last of the out-gowning tide. We decided to take advantage of the slack water and ran south on the Jersey coast about seven miles and set up on a piece of ground that showed a ton of life on our screens. As it turned out we were mugged by large blues and sharks with one more bass in the box. The main problem of the day was the unavailability of bait (Bunker only able to net about thirty bait). Of course the sharks and blues made short work of that. At the end of the day everyone went home with fish and we had plenty of action.
Sat. 10/25.
Day and night trips canceled because of weather.
Sunday 10/26.
Well yesterdays blow brought in a new body of fish (bass). We left the dock with the Joseph party and decided to make our first drop on the Ambrose. Plenty of bait available today, we had non-stop action all tide with huge blues and bass up to 30 lbs. A great day for all on board. I think this will be the start of the larger fish showing up and they should be available into Dec. due to water temps dropping at a gradual pace.
Get in on the action. Open dates available. Give us a call for some good fall fishing.
