Sunday was a fun day on the Beach. Mark Livaudais brought his sons Charley and Robert along with his nephew Will to the Beach to get in on the hot fall action. After a stop at Campo's for bait off to the marsh we went. We fished the same area and pattern that has been working for me and it worked well. This time the tide was rising all day and the Trout were in a little different spot, but we found them and got on a good bite. By the time the bite faded the guys put a lot of Trout in the boat. We made a move to a close by bayou and picked up a few more Trout, but the Drum and Sheepshead stole the show. The guys had a blast as the Okuma reels sang that sweet tune as the Power Pro was put to the test. After a fun day on the water we listened to the Saints game on the radio in the boat on the way in and while I cleaned the fish. Total catch for the day was 95 Trout, 16 Drum, 10 Sheepshead, 2 Reds, and 1 Flounder.
The fishing in Shell Beach on fire and it will only get hotter in the coming weeks. Give me a call if you want to get in on some fall fishing fun. Call United Charters now for your next fishing adventure 504-439-1680.
