Nikao Fishing Adventures took some guests out on Lake Jozini (Pongolapoort Dam) for a morning of Tiger Fishing. We launched at Nkonkoni at around 05h30. When we got going with the boat there was a mother Hippo and here baby nearby, and she cam and tried to chase us away even though we were some distance away she was not happy.
There was a stiff SW wind blowing and the water temperature was around 22 deg. C.
We started out on the western shore along the weed beds where we got t Tiger Fish on Drop Shot Lures and then headed to the gorge where we got another 3 small fish. We also spent some time admiring the areas natural beauty and game from the boat and then headed back to the western shores. By this time the SW wind was blowing hard and so we decided to anchor the boat and target the Tiger Fish on drop which produced us another 2 fish, and 1 Tiger Fish on Bait.
