Two day report from the Beach. Friday morning we were greeted by some nasty weather, but the worst of it passed before daylight so we headed on out. On board were Russell and Ron. We tried to get out to the Sound, but the winds were too high so we headed to the Biloxi Marsh. The high winds made for some tough conditions. We fished hard, had a good time and caught some fish before the next wave of bad weather came our way. The guys ended up with 7 nice Reds, 7 Trout, and 2 Flounder.
Capt. Frank had Doc Hollenbeck and his sons Tim, Russ, and Joel. They fished in the marsh also. The crew put 7 Reds and 12 Trout on ice and made it back in time to miss the heavy winds and rain that pounded Shell Beach that afternoon.
Saturday I had Capt. Franks crew from the day before. The conditions were a lot better than the day before. With the calm winds and flat water off to the Sound we went. We made a few stops at wellheads and fished with Bayou Chubs under a cork. We got a few good Trout bites at each stop then the action would stop so off to the next. The guys ended up with 50 pretty Trout and 1 Reds. We all had a great time and you could not ask for a nicer day.
The crew from DA Exterminating came on down and fished with Capt. Frank. They headed deep into the Sound and filled the boat with big Sheepshead and limits of big Reds. Toss in a few Drum and 2 Pompano and the every box in the boat was stuffed with fish. They made a stop for some Trout on the way in and picked up 25 to top things off. You know they had to have a great time catching all those fish.
