Wednesday's running of the Bulls at the Beach. I had the Forrest Fife group of three. They spent the night across the street from my boat slip at the First Cast Lodge. With Reds and Heads in mind we headed straight out into the Sound. The water was fairly calm, but lots of dirty river water all over. The first rig we hit was full of big Sheepshead. In no time the guys filled the box with Heads, a couple Drum, and a Flounder. We moved to another rig and from the first cast it was double and triple hookups on Bull Reds. They kept me busy releasing one after the other, keeping our limit of 4. I could not believe how long they sat there fighting one after the other nonstop. The reds were eating bare jig heads and we even tossed top water watching them blow up on it. I have no idea how many they caught, but it was constant triple fish on for at least three hours and left them biting. They said it was the craziest Redfish bite they had ever seen and the best trip ever.
All fish in the Suzuki powered Blazer Bay were caught with Campo's dead bait on Capt. Rory's United Charters custom rods provided by CUI Products with Shimano reels, spooled with Power Pro line. All fish removed and boxed with the one and only Just Grab it Glove.
Spring action is here. The big Reds and Heads are eating up at the outer rigs and this is a great time to load the boat with big hard fighting fish. The Trout action is ready to break open any day now. The books are filling up fast, don't miss out on the fun. Call now to book your trip of a lifetime. Overnight accommodations on the bayou are available.
