Crappie fishing is very good on Weiss right now - limit stringers are being caught spider rigging and bottom bumping the old Coosa River channel ledge. The crappie are holding tight to cover that is located on these ledges in 10 to 12 feet of water. Spider Rigging with live bait is sure way to get into good stringer of crappie. Working ledges from Bay Springs all the way to Sand Valley is producing great catches. Work these ledges slow and really concentrate on finding any structure on these ledges. Also crappie are moving in on some of the deeper docks that is located on the river channel - docks with 4 to 6 feet of water are holding good numbers of crappie shooting a Southern Pro Stinger grub in Black/Blue chartreuse on a 1/24 oz head. Fishing should only get better as the water cools off so if you want to get in on some great fall crappie fishing action now is the time to come...

Thanks

Good Fishin
