Windy day Friday at the Beach. I had the pleasure of fishing with Chris Hermann, his dad, father in law, and brother in law. The water was high and so was the wind as we left Campo's. We headed over behind Hopedale. Tried out a little different area not far from where we have been killing them. The bite was steady, but never fast and the Trout were nice sized. Fishing with Campo's live shrimp under a cork the guys had a great time filling the box up with 90 Trout, 7 Reds, 2 Drum and 1 Flounder.
I did not post a few other trips from this past week, but they were all good times with limits of Trout and lots of Drum and Reds. The Puppy Drum have been thick in the marsh and so have the Flounder with some big doormats hitting the ice. A nice bonus to the Trout.
The fishing in Shell Beach is outstanding and the fall fishing is on fire. The next few months will be some of the best fishing of the year. There are still some open dates so book yours soon. Campo's is open with fuel, live bait, ice, and two back down ramps. Nice and easy launching with helpful advice from the Campo's is waiting for you. For your next fishing adventure call United Charters. Very nice over night accommodations are available. 504-439-1680.
