Windy fun Saturday on the Beach. I had four fisherman from the large New Orleans Flooring group that came down to the King's lodge, Glen, Marty, Troy, and Harold. As it has been for the last 2 weeks now the east winds were blowing hard and the water was high and rising. The tide never did fall against that stiff wind all day long. We headed off into the Biloxi Marsh after a stop by Campo's for bait. We started off near St Malo making few stops with little to show for. We moved on in deeper above Stump Lagoon where the guys started to put some fish in the boat. Lots of throwback Trout, but the keepers were really nice, up to 3 pounds. Got on a good school of Reds and the guys had a blast with them. They had a great time and filled up the fish box. All fish caught on Campo's live shrimp under a cork. Total for the day was 45 Trout, 12 Reds, 4 Drum, and 2 Sheepshead.
The fishing remains outstanding, so come on down and see what a great fishery we have in the Shell Beach area. The Trout are showing up more and more everyday on the inside. Be sure stop by Campo's for their friendly service, world famous live shrimp, croakers, ice, fuel, and launch. If you want to get in on some of the best fishing to be found give us a call. Check out the photos of the fish our guests have been catching. For charter info call (504)-881-9966 or (504)-887-4960.
