It was a cold windy miserable day to start with, that never went over 13deg, and then the wind died down and we had only a light drizzle. I was expecting the heavens to open, but they never did.
Water surface temp started at 16.4deg @ 07h00 and ended at 17.1deg @ 15h00.
Fishing proved to be tough.
First we fished some topwater at the bay by the campsite and got one fish of around 1.0Kg
Then I went to the S Bends and we got 6 fish deep on drop shot using purple worms and got 3 nice ones 1.20, 1.24 & 1.35Kg and 3 keepers of around 800gr
We found some sheltered areas with deep isolated structure but got nothing and then started throwing flukes at the edges and got 2 more, a 1.22Kg and a 1.8Kg.
So 9 fish in total for the day of around 10.2Kg total weight and if it were a comp we would have weighed in a 5 fish bag of around 6.8Kg.
