it's that time of the year folks in south east louisiana that the cold fronts are becoming more frequent and this pushes the speckle trout and redfish into the deeper holes.if we get a warming trend , they move back out in the ioen water and along the shorelines and become more active.either way though there is still plenty of good fishing and the bass are also moving right in with them in the brackish water canals.the last two weeks have been very productive and the redfish ,speckle trout have been really good quality fish as have the bass.so if you plan on coming down to the new orleans area, give me a call and if the weather permits we can get out on the water and bust up some fish.p.s. if you need transportation from down town new orleans, i can pick you up and bring you back at the end the day.thanks and will post again asap.thanks from reel happy fishing charters ( 504-812-9487 )

Area Reporting: New Orleans - Lafitte

Bio: Captain Mike has been fishing and hunting in the marshes of South East Louisiana for over 30 years and has seen many changes take place in these beautiful, vast, and yet fragile marshes. Captain Mike takes great pride in putting his clients on many species of fish so that when they return home after a day or two on the water a good old fashion fish fry should be in the works. However, Captain Mike is aware of the balance of nature and practices catch and release, so that there will be fish not only for the next day but for years to come
