The beach is still red hot. And it was hot and still Friday. I had a great bunch of guys on board Friday, Keith Trosclair, Dave Fleming, Collin Ledet, and Jimmy Guidrouz. These guys are good fishermen that fish a lot, but just not in the Shell Beach. With all of our good reports they had to give it a try. Armed with Campo's live shrimp and croakers we headed to the Sound. Our first stop at a small well head produced some fast action and Trout were hitting the box fast. The water and air were dead still and so was our bite before long. To tell you how still it was when I went to undo the rig hook it was not even on the rig anymore. It had fallen off at some point and we never moved. We made a few more stops looking for some moving water and picked up fish at each and the guys put together a pretty box of fish. Total for the day was 85 Trout, 6 Sheepshead, and 1 Red.
