The BETT was on and we only launched at 12pm to fish an afternoon session. I was not optimistic based on the previous day and the fact that a bunch of the top fishermen had been around the dam.
We got our first fish after 2 hrs on a senko in the shallows, and it was exactly 2.00Kg according to my Berkley scale. We then tried various other tactics and got 3 more on a shaky head at 12m of which 1 was 1.10Kg and the rest were just over keeper size. We also got 2 more keeper size at around 8m deep on carolina rigs with 7 inch finesse worms.
So six fish for the afternoon which would have given us a bag of around 4.8Kg. Not bad considering the weather and the fact that the BETT guys had been around that day. I was particularly happy with the 2Kg model and so was my client.
