Just got this report from Capt Kevin Aderhold down in Venice:::::::::
Here is the summary of what took place last night on our 24hr trip on the Strike Zone TOO with myself, Capt. JW and Seth.
We left the dock with Earl Duferne and crew heading for the mecca of tuna fishing (Green Canyon). After last weeks trip that I made I couldn't pass up going back. On the way out they wanted to catch a few Amber Jacks so we stopped at a rig and caught three(40 to 50 lbs) and lost many jigs. We then left around 4 to continue the run to the rigs that I was planning to fish that night.
Well on the way I was side tracked by a stray standby buoy, which turned out to hold a variety of fish. We caught three wahoo, lost a dolphin and then we caught a Blue Marlin 250lbs(the first one for the year with hopefuls of many more). Once we released the Marlin we continued south and put the steaks on the grill and ate along the way so we would be ready when we got there.
We did really good once we arrived and settled in at the rig. The fish were easily available to catch but they were mad and all fought like they were 150 class fish when they were only 80 and 90s. We left after daylight with 10 yellows and a few black fins and non stop action. I then was still thinking of the blue from yesterday so I was determined to find the buoy again, so off I went in the direction that I thought it would be in considering the current and sure enough it was not there. But I did find it about 2 miles to the east of where I thought it would be. We fished it again and caught another wahoo and nothing else. We went back to the rig where we caught the Amber Jacks the day before and put the last few in the boat on live bait.
We ended the trip with very nice sea conditions and a lot of great fishing!

Only one boat out yesterday, the Strike Zone with a group from Texas...they went 9 for 14 on Sails , one Blue 300lbs and four bull Dolphin ....Nice day gang.
