FISHING REPORT FOR LOUISIANA & GUATEMALA
VENICE: Capt. Kevin and crew found a honey hole about 100 miles out of Tiger Pass...He was back on his spot for a 24 hr trip on The STRIKE ZONE TOO Wednesday night. The Yellowfin were swarming the 55' sportfishing yacht. They were fighting and holding fish with the underwater lights three miles off the rig. Hundreds of Blackfin in the lights behind the boat and the big Yellowfin darting in and out of the chum. The seas were 4 foot rollers until midnight and then they went to 4 to 6 chop. They had nine Yellowfin in the box and the balance of Blackfin. They put the autopilot on at 3:00 am and 10 knotted it back to the pass.
GUATEMALA : Had the Strike Zone out two days with some local anglers from Guatemala. They fished 18 miles out and had a total of 17 Sails in two days. The boats will be out this weekend and I talked to Capt. Tyson and he feels that this will be a good week for fishing. I will be in Guatemala next week on business and I hope to fish a few days when the boats are not working.
Capt. Kevin and Seth were up at 3:00 am this morning after their over night trip the day before to come and help me on a big catering that I had in Baton Rouge. They were off at 10:00 am heading back to Venice for another 24hr trip on the Strike Zone Too (THEY ARE HARD HITTERS) . I will have the report tomorrow. They will have another choppy trip back to the dock tomorrow morning....The seas are picking up as we speak....
We still have two spots for the trip with rodnreel.com from May 12 to the 16 to film with Mike Lane and crew in Guatemala. This, like all of our trips will be FIRST CLASS. Some of the crew got round trip air fare as low as $228.00 out of New Orleans.
