Pictured is young Andrew Sallusto who joined us aboard the Marlin My Darlin for a charter while in Ft Lauderdale fishing with his family. As expected there are Kings and Bonito along the edges of the reef line about a mile offshore. Also we continue to see large Hammerheads with some regularity out in 300 to 400 feet of water.

Summertime brings Mahi-Mahi front and center all along the coast of Florida and Ft. Lauderdale Deep Sea fishing can be very good for these colorful and welcome fish. For those of you who have experience and your own boats we have been doing well in the vicinity of 800 feet of water which has been the area of the western edge of the Gulfstream often as of late.

Fishing for Dolphin (Mahi-mahi) around Fort Lauderdale has improved tremendously this week. It has been an absolute blast going off shore a ways and finding large beds of seaweed. While the seaweed is tough to deal with as far as keeping the baits clear, it's worth it when you see Dolphin racing out from under those beds and heading for your rigged baits.

Ft. Lauderdale deep sea fishing continues to offer a variety of species for our anglers. While we love to head offshore in search of Mahi-Mahi and maybe get another crack at a nice Blue Marlin the close to shore action right at the third reef has been strong.

More and more good sized Mahi-Mahi are showing up offshore in the areas of our Ft. Lauderdale fishing trips. These fish continue to move relatively fast through the area and they would seem to be primarily pursuing schools of Flying Fish as we noted before.
