Here in the Hollywood, Fort Lauderdale area it is not unusual to have a few birthday fishing trips come our way. The day was Blake's birthday and what he REALLY hoped to catch was a Dolphin and maybe a Sailfish.

The weather is a bit cooler and we have continued to pick away at the Mahi-Mahi, Kings and we are seeing the Sails better now with this cooler weather and it's a nice change for us . Pleasant fishing yesterday with clean clear blue water right out front and some current as well.

We continue to see the Mahi-Mahi pushed up right against the 3rd reef line and even onto the second reef line which is only about ¾ of a mile offshore of the beach.

The wind has picked up here as expected , but we are enjoying some good fishing as a result of that steady breeze. Our Ft. Lauderdale fishing trips are producing good opportunities for Mahi-Mahi (Dorado / Dolphin Fish) and as before we are finding these fish close in, mostly within a mile and a half of shore.

the fishing is starting out very hot this year lots of sailfish mahi mahi tunas and wahoos i think this is going to be one of the best sail fishing years in the past 4 years it has been slow.

Late November has proven a close replica of last couple of years of Ft Lauderdale fishing catches. We spoke hopefully of a push of Sailfish into our area in this forum very recently and the last front has given us just that scenario. We had the pleasure of having Roland and Sharon aboard the Marlin My Darlin this morning as we steered slightly south and offshore of our inlet and began the charter in 140 feet of water.

Once again we are experiencing beautiful weather here for our Ft. Lauderdale fishing charters. Almost cloudless skies with lots of sun and very little wind. The Winter seasonal weather is certainly not here as of yet. A brief cool snap or two and we are right back to almost 85 early in the afternoon. All of this beautiful weather lately has toughened up the bite for us and we are covering lots of area and surface and bottom fishing to get our bites.
