It was nice to be back on the water after weeks of no fishing! Sunday started out very nice and even though it got a little bumpy on the way back, it was still a beautiful day for fishing!
We have plenty of open dates, including this weekend! Looks like it should be good conditions! If you would like to fish, please give us a call or feel free to email!
Sunday, we fished with Tom from Florida. He had the boat to his self, and he was very excited to be fishing Venice, Louisiana! The day started off pretty slow, had to work a little for the bait and by noon the box was still empty. The water was pretty dirty at a few of the rigs so we decided to make the long run. The water was blue at the new spot but action was very limited. We made a few drifts when one of the deep lines took off! At first, felt like a small fish but soon found out that this fish was the real deal!! Tom fought the 75 pound yellowfin for 45 mins. He was a very happy camper when he saw the gaff in that fish! He said that he didnt have any fight left!! Great job Tom, Nice fish!
After leaving we were able to get in on some dolphin and blackfin action on some grass, even managed a couple of almaco jacks. Tom ended up with a pretty good trip considering it started out kind of slow. He told me that the yellowfin was a fish of a lifetime for him!! I love my job!!
If you are ready to fish, Give us a call! Things are almost back to normal in Venice and the fishing will be good for a little while longer! Dont wait too long! Be safe out there!
