Finally got a little rest after fishing Wednesday and back to back overnighters Thursday night then Friday night. Will be another one this Friday night. I love it!!!
We have this Sunday open as well as the whole weekend of the first. If you want to fish, give us a call. Dont forget, Snapper season will close Aug 5th!
Wednesday and Thursday night I fished the Stress Management for Strike Zone. We had Dave and Ted on board for both trips. These guys are both about 70-80 years old and they fought big amberjack better than most young guys. They were a blast to fish with.
Thursday I was back on the Looney Tuna for an overnight trip! We left the dock at 2pm, headed south for the tuna grounds. We fished Mars and Ursa all night with not a lot to show for it. The rigs were covered with boats and the radio was very quiet! About 1AM we decided to make a move. We got set up on a rig and started putting a hurting on some almaco jack. Once it got daylight, the tuna showed up. We boated two very quick. The only problem was, they were both under size!! We fished for about 2 hours before we landed a keeper. The fish went about 50 pounds, caught on a chunk. Slowed down so we headed for AJ and snapper. Took a little while to find the AJ's but we were able to put a limit and one scamp in the boat. At the snapper hole. we found beautiful red snapper that were hungry for some pogies! Despite the slow start, we ended the trip with a box of fish!
We still have open dates for you! Lets go fishing!
