Been a while since my last report…Last week I hit the wahoo pretty hard. I didn't have any 10X10 days but consistently caught 4-6 everyday with a few blackfin and amberjack mixed in. Everything on the Bomber CD30s in pink, purple, or blue and chrome and , of course, the 111MR hot pink mirrolure. Last Sunday night I swordfished and went 1 for 3. That was # 104 that I brought to the boat and he weighed in at 120lbs. I fished the last couple days and Monday was tough. It was pretty rough and the fishing was tough. We pulled for wahoo some but spent most of our time looking for tuna. Five hundred kings and three blackfin was all we could drum up. Yesterday was quite a different story. The clean water moved in and the tuna were there. I put a nice yellowfin in the boat first thing in the morning and then could not keep the blackfin off the lines. All in all I guess that's a high class problem. By the end of the day we had kept 16 monster blackfin and the one lonely yellowfin. I would have rather put more yellows in the box but my people were happy with all the action and the one yellow we did catch put a pretty good whippin' on them. I'll be back at it tomorrow and Friday and will try to post a timely report. God bless, good fish! Capt. Peace Marvel 504-858-TUNA (8862)
