Fished Friday night with Mike's crew from New Orleans and Texas. This Saturday and Sunday are open as well as next Saturday! If you would like to book, please give us a call or email!
As we prepared to leave the Marina the storm clouds were forming offshore. Little did we know that we would avoid most of it! Stopped to make bait first, found beautiful crack sized hardtail, filled the bait well then off to pull on a few AJ's! We put two nice amberjack and a few almaco jack in the ice (all on hardtail) then headed to the floater. Not much action the first one so off to the next spot! This floater seem to have a few fish on it, the only problem is, the first ten blackfin that we brought up, we only brought up a head, or half a fish! We were able to re-locate a little and finally started bringing up whole fish!
The group was really after Yellowfin but couldnt seem to find any at dark so back to the blackfin! At first light Capt Gray Long was kind enough to radio me to let me know that a few yellows had shown up! Took a while for us to hook up but after the first one, we kept a fish on til we just could wait any longer! A huge storm was trying to push us out so we decided to take off! Two yellows on crack and one on a chunk! Two about 60 pounds, one around 75 pounds! Had to leave the biting! Hate when that happens!
I also enjoyed my company with Capt Gray Long! Super nice guy! He put a hell of a a$$ whipping on us too!! Nice catch Capt Long! Looks like you had a very hard working crew! Never saw any down time on those poles!!!
We still have a good bit of open dates right now! If you would like to book, please give us a call or email! Feel free to visit the web site as well!
