1st Annual Cape Fear Striped Bass Invitational went off great. This was a guided, catch and release tournament to raise money for Cape Fear River Watch. There were only 7 boats with two anglers per boat.

Went looking for skinny water reds this morning. Ran a little ways north and headed up a creek to some knee deep water and started casting. Was throwing a spinner bait and on about the 4th cast my lure landed near a marsh bank with an oyster bar close by.
