We only fished Saturday this week but what a day to be on the water! 1-2 ft sea's, sunny, a little breeze! Beautiful!! There was a nasty storm Saturday evening, hope everyone beat it in!
We started the day off at a floater but it was dead. We were marking a few fish but no takers! We moved around a while and set up the last drift, just as we were about to pick up, the back reel started to scream. We boated a 40-50 pound yellow, set up again and just like that we had two in the boat. The third fish to strike hit hard but broke off! Things died down after that so we went to find the AJ's!
on the way to the AJ hole, we stopped at the grass line for a little trolling but found no fish! We stopped to make bait while at the grass and we spot a 300-400 pound blue three feet under the boat. All hell breaks out to get a bait in the water and all for nothing, he would not touch anything we had! Always nice to see one though!
After working hard to put bait in the boat, we head to our first AJ stop were we quickly put a 50 pound jack in the boat then the sharks moved in! Took off the the next spot, boated two more then no bait! We could not find a hardtail anywhere, so to the snapper hole. A limit of red snapper in about an hour! Cant beat that! Headed back in in time to beat the storm! A great day fishing!
We had a cancelation for Saturday (21st) that we have not been able to fill yet. The fishing is getting better every week. If you are itching to fish offshore, give us a call. We have an open boat Saturday and Sunday!
