Specks, reds, flounder, bluefish, black drum and more out of Oriental: The fishing has already been good and will only get better. I am fishing full and long half day trips from my 23 ft center console for up to 4 anglers and weather permitting my flats boat for up to 2. Look for great fishing all summer.

The fishing has been very good in the creeks off the Neuse this winter. I am catching specks, puppy drum, flounder, stripers and largemouth bass. I do have an open date Jan 10.

Tarpon have shown in the Lower Neuse River and Pamlico Sound in numbers and are biting. Most of the fish are 5o to 100 pounds.
