Yet another cold front has made its way through South Florida. This one packed the coldest punch so far this winter. As soon as the sun set, both the air and water temperatures started dropping drastically. The strong NW winds at 20 - 24 knots have kept the shrimp running and the tarpon bite remains OUTSTANDING.

December ended with great bottom fishing . On the 26th we had 7 mutton snappers to 13 pounds, a couple small kings, a cuda and an almaco jack with George Bubrick and his son.

Sailfish are definitely here and pretty plentiful in our waters. It hasn't even been two weeks into January and we already have had some great days sailfishing. Our best day so far has been 11 sailfish caught out of 17 strikes.

A very stubborn Swordfish which we fought for 1 hour with 18 l.b. of pressure and 6 runs to under 500 feet down then 25 l.b. to seal the deal. The fat fish measured to be 74" L.J.F.L. and 48" around thats over 10 feet including the tail and bill which had been bit in half by a shark at one point in his short life.
