Lake Allatoona Georgia Line-Sides Fishing Reports by Robert Eidson (11/08/2006)
Line-sides fishing is GOOD Fishing is the same this week as last. Change nothing. The lake is looking good right now. Clear water and no smell and very few air pockets. This means the end of the turn over. And time to get back on the water. I'm starting to boat good numbers of fish. With most of them being hybrid and spots. With a few stripers mixed in.

Line sides Not much has change fishing is still on the slow side. But has pick up a little. With mid lake to the north end being the best place to look right now. With the cold nights we have had in the past few days. The water temp is down below 70. So we should start to see some good fishing real soon. Just remember the lake is all most turn over so it’s time to start pulling flat lines and planner boards. This will work best in the morning and afternoon. And during mid day try down lining in the mouth of the creeks. These fish are deeper right now then weeks past.

Line sides fishing this week has been the worst I have seen in a long time on Allatoona. They seem to be scattered from all the way up the river as far as Canton to as far South as Allatoona Creek. And to make it worst when you do find them they want eat. Nothing seems to be working. They just got lock jaw and want eat.

Line-sides, Fishing is hit and miss right now. One day you can catch a doz. in and hour. Then on the next day do good to boat 4 or 5 the whole day. The lake is turning over right now. So the fish are still scatter from north to south. And up and down in the water column. Will the cold nights that we have been having I look for the lake to be completely turn over with in the next two weeks. And then the fishing should be on fire for line-sides.

Topwater Bite Outstanding In Morning Hours by Mike Bucca (10/06/2006)
I haven't had much chance to get out much this week but I did venture out for 4 hrs this afternoon. I launched at 1pm and fished till 5pmish. Fishing wasn't bad for mid day. I managed 12 fish with 8 being keeper sized and several in the 2lb range on senko's. I think the senko bite and topwater should be OUTSTANDING in the morning hours.

Fishing Is Strong On Lake Allatoona by Mike Bucca (9/28/2006)
The fishing right now is STRONG!! Very good numbers bite on keeper fish using a blue pearl senko. This morning I had a fairly EASY 30 fish day before the wind picked up with the front. This bite comes every year like clockwork which is about 2-3 weeks after a major shad spawn which I believe we might have just had another wave of shad from the really small fry I saw today.

The senko bite is getting stronger and stronger every week. Most of the fish are small keepers with a few decent fish in the mix. I'm pretty much beating them in the head with the senko to make it work. It's really the best thing I have found for numbers unless you like draggin wurms (not my cup of tea no thanks).

Big Fish Are Tough Right Now by Mike Bucca (9/14/2006)
Fishing is very tough for the big fish right now since the cooler weather and rain this week. Prior to the cooler weather and rain we had a decent bite on the swimbait.. Once we get some stabilization in the weather the fish will be much more predictable.

Linesides are still king! Catching both hybrids and a limited number of stripers early in the morning on live shad, bream, spottail minnows. Look for breaking fish by Red Top and Dam area, on into Stamp, down to Galts Ferry.
