Got a chance to come home for a day and took it. Haven't been putting up any reports because Brent and I haven't replaced the computer at the camp in Venice as of yet (no phone line in the house either). But the fishing has been excellent.

Offshore Tunas! by

The offshore fishing has been about average for us lately. The yellowfin tuna are out there but they have been somewhat finicky and a lot stronger than usual. Yesterday we fought a 97lb. yellowfin for 1.5 hours and went through 6 six anglers twice.

At about 10:00 a.m. the wind started to lay and we headed offshore to see if we could find a few Tuna. We fished for about two hours without a bite and then it happened. Out of nowhere they were crashing and busting flying fish all around the boat and we had our first tuna of the day on.

The Long Road After Hurricane Katrina by

We have not posted a report since August 15th, 2005. Katrina hit the coast of Louisiana approximately 30-35 miles North of Venice, La on August 29th, 2006, which is where our fishing charter business was and now is again. We actually started back in early December but we still had little access to internet service. Things are improving everyday.
