The offshore fishing has been very good. The weather is starting to cooperate. It is a good feeling to know that you are going to have a good day of fishing before leaving the dock.

The fishing has been good and the weather seems to be starting to cooperate more and more. The past several trips we have pulled up a few very nice red snapper while grouper and amberjack fishing. The red snapper are so thick we tried for mangroves earlier in the week and caught nothing but red snapper in 40 feet of water.

Originally, we were supposed to fish overnight Saturday, but with the bad weather this weekend we decided to go Tuesday night instead. I had the pleasure of fishing with the Bolejack crew so we met at the dock for 11 a.m. and pulled out shortly after.

The weather is finally showing more and more of a summer time pattern which means less wind and more fishing days. This past week the tuna have really cooperated giving us a chance to fish like we are use to.

The weather patterns have been horrible this year to say the least. A lot of wind has kept us at the dock more than I would prefer. When you can get out, the fishing is well worth it.

The offshore fishing has been tough lately. Not due to fish not biting, but weather problems. The weather this time of the year can go both ways. So far it has been very windy.

The offshore fishing has been up and down. One day good, one day bad. But never do you go out and not catch anything. We are truly blessed with a great fishery.

This time of the year we are use to catching all the Yellow fin tuna we want, most of them being monster sized. So far, we put a couple of big boys in the boat but not what we are use to. This past weekend you could catch all the blackfin tuna you wanted but the Yellow fin were no where to be found.

The fall pattern for yellow fin tuna has not really set in yet. A sure sign that we have not started the true season yet is we still have cobia in the area. Water temps. are not that cool yet, but getting there. The tuna will move in closer shortly.

The weather has been holding us back for the bigger offshore species like tuna and wahoo. However, the snapper fishing has made up for it tremendously. The weather should break before long and give us a good stretch of decent offshore conditions

Hunter and I were back from storm break to meet great conditions for a change..Bill's and Leger's crews opted out of their overnighter which should have went into today leaving both of them to do maintenance..fishing is always a little a hard to peg after a break but we did well all things considered.
