[Lake Erie,OH] Even though we catch them year round, Lake Erie Yellow Perch get special attention around the first of August and for good reason. They are delicious to eat and sell in local Lake Erie fish markets for $14 per pound...if you can even find them to buy. Successful catches depend on a number of different combinations which are productive for the perch anglers. But, seriously folks...location is key...since finding the Jumbo Yellow Perch requires some serious homework

[Lake Erie,OH] Walleye Fishing is Picking Up! Weather has played a role in a slow start, but fishing is starting to pick up and numbers are improving daily. A lot of wind and cool weather have kept the water temperature colder than usual. A few warm days and evenings will help.

[Lake Erie,OH] For the past two weeks, I have been making the run to the Canadian waters of Lake Erie, often times not even seeing another boat, and fishing remote shoals and rock piles for trophy Bronzebacks. We have been rewarded with a number of 70+ fish days. Most of the Smallies are 3 pound average, but there are many 4 pounders, a few 5 pounders and the occassional 6 or 7 pounder.
